CRABBY'S RUM BOTTOM CLUB, 1958

In the beginning was the music. And our boys had a patent on it. This vintage poster from their first live performance shows the Weisroys at their rowdy best. Look hard and you'll see, peering over Andy's ax, the band's original drummer, Blind Lemon Boy Hanz, who performed with the group before he was called back to Kapfenburg to care for his ailing mother.
The poster depicted here is signed on the back by seven of the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes who regularly frequented Crabby's after their stage show. Bryan had a brief fling with a Rockette named Mitzi, who was immortalized in the groups forgotten classic, "Kick It Up Schatzy". The relationship ended tragically under mysterious circumstances during the bands ill-fated tour of Ft. Lauderdale.
